We created a calm, emotional brand identity that brings Turkish words to users complete with meaning, origin, literary note, and verse.
Berceste was conceived as a mobile application that delivers a new Turkish word to users every day, showing its meaning, origin, literary context, an example sentence, and usage in classical verse. The core need was to move beyond the look of a word-learning tool and create a warm brand identity that communicates the aesthetic power and literary depth of the Turkish language.
Berceste's visual language was therefore conceived as simple, elegant, cultural, and calm — an identity that offers the user a brief but valuable daily reading moment, a small literary pause on the phone screen.
We built the brand identity around three ideas: word, literature, and daily discovery. For the logo we chose a fluid, handwritten-feel typographic structure that reads as elegant and flowing. This choice strengthens the literary dimension of the brand while creating a character that feels personal, warm, and memorable.
The colour palette draws on coffee, cream, and natural tones to evoke the feel of a book page, ink, a cup of coffee, and a quiet reading moment. The result positions Berceste not simply as a digital word app, but as a cultural, elegant, and poetic point of contact that enriches daily life.
"We didn't just describe a word — we made the feeling it carries, its origin, and its literary trace visible."— Jante Creative Studio
